So, Who Am I?
You might want to know that I’m recognized as a pioneer in the personal and professional coaching industry along with more than 30 years of experience helping people transform their lives.
And, that I’m a Certified Facilitator by both the Institute for Integrative System Dynamics in Organizations and the Hellinger Learning Center in the Systemic Approach to resolving inherited family trauma. That I’m a Master Practitioner in NLP (having studied with some of the early developers Dilts, McDonald, DeLozier), and worked as a senior lead trainer for 14 years with the Coaches Training Institute.
But, this doesn’t tell you about my essence.

Some things I’m deeply proud of (but would never put on my résumé)
- I survived a life-threatening car accident in Greece. After my near-death experience, I realized I couldn’t tolerate a life half lived anymore. Two years later, I left England (with 3000 pounds sterling and two suitcases) to pursue what had Heart and Meaning for me. My journey brought me to the USA, and in 2005 I became a citizen. (I wrote about this experience in the book Ruby Red Shoes ~ Empowering Stories on Relationships, Intuition and Purpose, an Amazon #1 bestseller in the hot new release category).
- I was featured in a BBC TV documentary called Birth. The film explored various forms of birth methods which included my preference a Leboyer Gentle Birth process, a cutting-edge type of delivery at that time. I believe in women having the right to make birthing the best possible experience for baby and mother. Birth Without Violence, by Leboyer, paved the way for new awareness & understanding about the effects of the birthing process and how the child is handled afterward.
These two things tell you that I’m strong and tenacious when it comes to co-creating my life.
Other Fascinating facts:
- When I lived in London I helped establish a clinic that specialized in working with people (from seniors to newborns) who suffered from various emotional and physical conditions. Our specialty was using sound techniques and healing touch, as well as all natural plant and mineral remedies.
- Years ago, I was abducted in Liverpool, England while walking home with a friend after a movie. I kicked one of the abductors so hard the groin he vomited! I also did some fancy talking and got myself and my friend out of the situation safe and sound. After that, I knew I could stand up for myself and others.
These two things tell you I’m knowledgeable and adaptable but allergic to nonsense.
Wild-card secret:
My late father was a decorated WW2 hero who at 17 went to war for six years. At his memorial I learned he was still under Britain’s “100-Year Secret Act”, which means he couldn’t talk about what happened to him during the war. That information, and the fact he clearly carried PTSD for the rest of his life, put a lot of pieces together about my childhood and the distant relationship I had with him.
This tells you why I’m involved in Family and Organization Systemic Awareness work
… secrets can have a huge impact on a family or an organization for generations.
You may also want to know that I’m certified by the Coaches Training Institute (CPCC) and the International Coach Federation (PCC), as well as a Board Certified Coach (BCC) recognized by the Center for Credentialing and Education.
